Two Weddings, a Drone, and a Whole Lot of Southern Cuisine: A Tale of the Huger & Perpigan Celebrations
They say you can’t be in two places at once, and thankfully, I didn’t have to be. The Huger and Perpigan weddings may have taken place in North and South Carolina (respectively—or was it the other way around? I lost track after the second plate of shrimp and grits), but they were held on separate weekends, allowing me to give each the full cinematic treatment they deserved.
Both weddings were absolutely stunning—seriously, someone should give these families a Pinterest award. The vibes? Immaculate. The people? Warm, welcoming, and probably related somehow (I’m convinced Southern hospitality is a genetic trait). And the food? Let’s just say I strongly considered renewing my own vows with the catering staff.
What made it even better was the honor of working with some familiar faces at both events. It felt a bit like the sequel to a movie I didn’t know I was starring in—“Wedding Cinematographer: Southern Love Story, Part II.” Bonus points: I got to flex my drone skills over some jaw-droppingly gorgeous venues. Yes, that buzzing sound overhead wasn’t a confused cicada—it was me, channeling my inner Spielberg.
All in all, covering both weddings was an absolute joy. Two beautiful unions, two incredible parties, and one very grateful videographer with a full belly and full heart.
