Capturing the Heart of the Game: Our Photographic Journey with ACES Brand and Brian “Smokin’ Aces” Kortovich in NYC

In the world of professional photography, great relationships often lead to even greater opportunities. This principle has guided our ongoing collaboration with the ACES Brand and its charismatic leader, Brian “Smokin’ Aces” Kortovich. Our latest assignment took us to the bustling streets of New York City, where capturing Brian in action meant always being at the top of our game.

A Star-Studded Encounter

Traveling to NYC to photograph Brian always comes with its share of surprises and significant encounters. This time around, we had the thrilling opportunity to meet New York Knicks legend John Starks and reconnect with Allan Houston, another revered figure in Knicks history. These meetings underscored the importance of performing at our highest level, not just because of the illustrious company, but because capturing such moments demands a keen eye for the candid and impactful.

The Philosophy Behind the Lens

Brian appreciates our philosophy of candid photography, which aligns perfectly with the authentic and engaging feel of his brand and social networks. This approach allows us to capture the essence of his interactions and the genuine moments that occur, whether he’s engaging with basketball legends or inspiring young athletes.

Documenting a Day with the ACES

Our latest project involved accompanying Brian during his time at the Virgin Hotel in NYC, where he was a guest speaker at the Jr. Knicks coaching clinic. The clinic was not just a platform for Brian to share his insights but also a vibrant gathering of young enthusiasts and seasoned coaches, all united by their love for basketball. Documenting these interactions, the shared laughs, and the intense focus of participants was not just a job—it was a privilege.

The Pleasure of Working with ACES

As always, working with Brian and the ACES team was a pleasure. Each project with them is a new adventure, filled with unexpected moments and valuable connections. It’s these experiences that not only help us grow as photographers but also deepen our appreciation for the sports and entertainment industries.

Looking forward to more projects with Brian and the ACES team, we remain excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Capturing the spirit of sport and its ability to bring people together continues to inspire us and drives our passion for photography.
