2024 ACES Elite Classic

Working with Brian Kortovich and the Brand ACES team for their annual ACES Elite Classic was an exhilarating experience.  Held at the historic Gaucho’s Gym in the Bronx, NY, this event brought together some of the country’s most talented high school basketball players who are destined to become future WNBA and NBA stars.  And let me tell you, these young athletes put on an absolute S H O W!!

Photographing the action was a thrilling challenge.  The energy in the gym was electric as these rising stars showcased their skills, making jaw-dropping plays and demonstrating why they are the ones to watch in the coming years.  Capturing their intensity and passion on the court was a highlight of my career as a photographer.

The ACES team, under Brian Kortovich’s leadership, did a phenomenal job organizing the event.  Their hard work and dedication were evident in every detail, from the seamless logistics to the top-notch hospitality.  Hosting basketball legend and Hall of Famer Sheryl Swoopes added an extra layer of prestige to the event.  Known for her incredible scoring ability and trailblazing career, Sheryl’s presence was inspiring for the young athletes and everyone in attendance.

The event garnered significant media attention, with numerous outlets covering the games and streaming the excitement live on the NBA app.  It was a testament to the importance and impact of the ACES Elite Classic in the basketball community.  Being part of an event that was broadcast to such a wide audience was both an honor and a privilege.

Working with the Brand ACES team was a fantastic experience.  Their commitment to showcasing and nurturing young talent is commendable, and the success of the ACES Elite Classic is a testament to their efforts.  I am already looking forward to next year’s event and the opportunity to capture more unforgettable moments as these young athletes continue to rise and shine.
